Electrical Inspection and Testing

Allpower Solutions Ltd work with domestic and commercial businesses in the West Midlands and across the North West ensuring that their electrical connections, services and equipment comply with statutory safety regulations.

We comply with the wiring regulations, inspections include all electrical equipment, including: fuse board, earthing arrangements, wiring, fixtures and fittings (i.e. lights, sockets, switches),  installation methods, loose connections etc.  On completion of any works we will provide a test certificate to certify the work we have completed but we can also carry out electrical inspection and testing of existing electrical installations, providing electrical installation condition reports.

We cover the testing and inspection of the fixed wiring of a property including:

• The Consumer Unit
• Earth bonding to gas and water pipes
• damage to switches, sockets and cables
• Instrument test of the cables

additional tests carried out include :

• Continuity of earth conductors
• Continuity of ring final conductor
• Polarity
• Installation resistance
• Earth loop impedance – to verify path of earth
• RCD test to check tripping times and mA setting
• The test involves testing circuits at the consumer unit
• includes a visual inspection as well as an instrumental test.

​Portable Appliance Testing

​At Allpower Solutions we can also carry out Portable Appliance Testing to ensure all electrical appliances are routinely tested for electrical safety. Through a series of visual inspections and electronic tests. On completion of testing we will provide the following information:

• An inventory containing each appliance type, name, location and description 
• a full set of test results for each appliance tested
• A full list of any failed items with an explanation of their failure
• A visible pass or fail label on each appliance detailing the inspection date and the inspectors signature
